Born in Buenos Aires, Gabiati has a BA in Political Science from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Brasilia (UnB), and a doctorate in Social Sciences at CEPPAC/Department of Latin-American Studies, part of the
Institute of Social Sciences of UnB. He teaches at the Political Science Institute of UnB and in the Political Science course of Centro Universitário do Distrito Federal (UDF). Currently, he teaches at the Law course of Faculdade Projeção.
Throughout his academic career, he specialized in political theory, state theory, state reform, politics compared with a focus on Latin America, political parties, party systems, electoral systems, elections, congress, federalism, and governability.
Gabiati has already advised the Ministry of Justice and of Science and Technology, through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Between 2005 and 2010 was a political analyst at a well-known Brazilian consultancy, serving clients from diverse segments including energy, environmental sanitation, shopping malls, retail market and oil & gas, with operations at the Executive and Legislative Branches.
Currently is a Director at DOMINIUM Consultancy, where he is responsible for the area of information and analyses, aside from engaging with the national Congress on topics related to energy and infrastructure.
